Hi.

You made it here so I take that to mean you’re looking for a specific kind of support!

Let me tell you what I do.

I work with people who are having a tough go of it in their relationships – especially those relationships that are really important to them. Many of these people have lost sleep trying to understand why people experience them the way they do. They wonder why they make certain decisions over and over again and why they are often left feeling empty, distrustful, or ready to fight.

They are told often that they are interesting, fun, and brave but can't seem to fit these or any other affirming words into their vocabulary when speaking about themselves. Some of the people I work with are suspicious and stand-offish while others over-extend themselves and are always ready to help. All of them are longing to feel connected and pulled in closer.

I believe you know what you want your life to feel like, you just might not know how to make it happen.

I’m a psychotherapist, a writer, and a consultant. I study identity and connection so it matters to me that Black folks in general – Black women in particular – get what they need from this world and the people in it. I’ll guide you in building intimate, authentic connections in all your relationships. We’ll work together to help you:

  • understand your patterns of behavior (and why they exist in the first place)

  • explore the motivation behind your decisions

  • develop a sense of self

  • feel safe and seen with your people

Your experience is specific and so is my approach.

Hi.

You made it here so I take that to mean you’re looking for a specific kind of support!

Let me tell you what I do…

I work with people who are having a tough go of it in their relationships, especially those that are really important to them. Many of them have lost sleep trying to understand why people experience them the way they do. They wonder why they make certain decisions over and over again even when they say they don’t want to and why they routinely feel empty, distrustful, or ready to fight.

My clients are told that they are interesting, fun, and brave but can't seem to fit these or any other affirming words into their vocabulary when speaking about themselves. Some of the people I work with are suspicious and stand-offish while others over-extend themselves and are always looking to help somebody else get what they need (secretly hoping that someone will do that for them). All of them are longing to feel connected and pulled in closer.

I believe you know what you want your life to feel like, you just might not know how to make it happen.
